As a child I watched my Dad paint at his easel. He studied art through the mail taught by professional artists.
I dreamed of being a famous painter one day. I studied art throughout my academic years, and in 2004 received my art certificate from the Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas. During the nine years I spent at the Glassell School of Art,
I studied under great teachers and artists, including Terrell James and Patrick Palmer.  Their support influenced my development as an artist. I was given the space and time to define and express my own painterly style, and develop
my original mark as an oil painter.

Photography inspires my creativity.  I carry my camera with me everywhere I go. My photographs are often used as a source for my paintings. I love capturing the beauty and language of nature in the moment.
I painted this on the beach at sunrise of my two sons wave fishing in Galveston.

My next painting usually begins long before it comes to fruition.  My favorite moments are when my creativity flows through my paintbrush and connects with the canvas, I experience an unbreakable rhythm that communicates my heart's own song.  When I am in relationship to my creativity, it is in those moments I know who I am.
The expression of my spirit animates from  life and light with gestural brushstrokes.
I am  motivated by visionary dialogues in my environment and I strive to discover and interpret their language through my art.

"St Barth" Oil on Canvas by Beverly Fritsch
I was inspired when on a trip to St Barths and the tropical colors of the beach homes.
